Fish Aid Music Festival to benefit Louisiana coast

Scheduled for Saturday, March 12, Fish Aid Music Festival is a benefit music concert to support the recovery and restoration of the Louisiana coast, Saint Bernard Parish, La., and beyond. Still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast continues to suffer in the aftermath of the Deep Water Horizon oil spill, which has devastated regional fisheries and wetlands.

Fish Aid Music Festival will raise funds through corporate sponsorships, ticket sales and vending, as well as through public and private donations. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the recovery and restoration efforts currently underway along the Gulf Coast. A headline act for the concert will be named shortly, as will additional entertainers. Fish Aid Music Festival enjoys the endorsement of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, as well as St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro Jr., who will provide resources, infrastructure and budgetary support to the event.
