Miami City Commission moves ahead with Marine Stadium site

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced in a May 28 press release that the Miami City Commission rejected an appeal from neighboring Key Biscayne that challenged the city’s plans to build an $18 million park and event space on the grounds of Miami Marine Stadium.

The release described this action as “another step forward in bringing the boat show to Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin in February.”

The press release noted that the outdoor location, which includes paving the grounds east of the stadium and installing utilities, will facilitate moving the boat show to the site.

Construction is currently under way and exhibitor space requests are now being accepted. Exhibitors at the Miami boat show who have not allocated their space should contact:
