Marine fabricators are small independent businesses relying on their own craftsmanship and skill to build successful marine enterprises. They look to Marine Fabricator as the only magazine that serves their business needs for education and information.
Our 5,000 readers are fiercely loyal and take ownership of the magazine that is the official publication of the Marine Fabricators Association. Most of our readers have been reading the magazine for five or more years and keep every issue for reference and information about advertisers.
U.S. marine aftermarket accessory sales more than doubled from $1.2 billion in 1997 to $2.8 billion in 2006.
Domestic new boat sales were very slow in 2009—down 34% for YE-September. This has helped to fuel demand for aftermarket products and refurbishing of existing marine craft. The overall U.S. growth rate in 2008 for marine fabricators was down 6.0% and is expected to be down 10-15% in 2009. The market is expected to climb back somewhat in 2010—the growth rate for marine fabricators should decline by only 5-10% as the economy continues to improve versus 2009.
