Buckles made with biodegradable material

American Plastics now offers 100-percent biodegradable buckles.The corn buckle is made with 100-percent PLA, a material that fits all disposal systems including compost treatment. It does not release any toxic gas even when incinerated. Composition of PLA products leads to complete decomposition and biodegradation of the material turningit into water and carbon dioxide.
