Astrup president retires

Jeffrey W. Kirk, president of The Astrup Co. and chief operations officer of the distribution division of Glen Raven, retired in February.

Kirk served 32 years with The Astrup Co. First hired as an account representative in 1975, he worked his way up and was named president and secretary in 1999.

Kirk, Industrial Fabrics Manager, was elected chairman of the board of the Industrial Fabrics Association International, served as chairman of the United States Industrial Fabrics Institute and served on the Professional Awning Manufacturer’s Association board.

Kirk earned a B.A. in economics from Wittenberg University in 1975 and an M.B.A. in marketing from Case Western Reserve University in 1990.
