Materials used: Sunbrella, Stamoid, YKK zippers, 1-inch stainless steel tubing, 1-inch quick-release hinges, polished aluminum tower clamps

The customer wanted a top that would provide full clearance below the tower and would deploy and stow quickly. We achieved this look with very careful, accurate patterning and by hollowing the edges like a sail to create an even tension all along the edge. This produced a very fitted look with tight crisp edges. The project won a 2010 MFA Award of Excellence in the tops under 27 feet category.
