Arthur Alden “Artie” Osborne, 77, died Jan. 23 in his home surrounded by family. Osborne, a member of the Marine Fabricators Association, was a lifelong resident of Sunapee, N.H., and a U.S. Army veteran. In his life, Osborne took over Osborne’s Garage and Marine, the family business, which eventually became known as Sunapee Canvas Works. Osborne loved antique boats, regattas and travelling. He served on the Sunapee Fire Department for nearly 54 years.

Osborne is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, an aunt and his best friend of more than 50 years.

The Marine Fabricators Association has made a donation to the Industrial Fabrics Foundation in Osborne’s memory.
