Banded catamaran top

This project won a 2011 MFA Outstanding Achievement Award in the tops 27 feet and up category. We fabricated this tensioned, banded top that provides excellent weather protection over the large catamaran cockpit. Additional layers of sewn fabric border the top perimeter for increased reinforcement and strength. To keep the top tensioned when the U-window is operated, this area is isolated using Taco trim around all sides.
