The cleint for this project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the full covers under 27’ category of the 2008 MFA Awards, involved a full mooring cover made in sections for ease of storage and installation. Each section zips to the next and has bungee cord in the hem with buckles to hold tension between sections. Trailer storage material was chosen for its stability, abrasion resistance and ease of storage over acrylics. The owner wanted to be able to install cover around anchor on bow and have a way to use tie-down system on lift. Working the nose piece around the anchor was difficult because the owner had to be able to install inside the boat while on lift. Entire nose was reinforced with 18-ounce vinyl and adjustable straps to secure around anchor.
