Seating area adds class to boat

This project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the complete interior upholstery category of the 2009 MFA Awards, involved a Sea Ray in need of some class. The interior was stark white, and the customer wanted color but still wanted a soft look. The customer wanted no new design, but did want two custom-made foot stools with storage. The seating area was a bit of a challenge with the inside curves. The vinyl chosen was very stiff so The Nautical Needle had to do some repatterning in that area. It was more time consuming than the company thought it would be. Nothing was left undone, including the carpet.
