This project, which won an Award of Excellence in the miscellaneous category of the 2009 MFA Awards, involved the creation of a dinghy cover. Nothing on a dinghy is straight and the pontoons will change shape with the air pressure inside. Also, attaching this cover was interesting because Ricketts could only use a few snaps in the front where she could drill into fiberglass. Bungee was sewn in a casing and used on the outsides. Ricketts also used Phifertex on the bottom of the aft pontoons so that it wouldn’t collect water when the boat was up on plane.
