Companies honored for innovation

Twelve marine products were honored for innovative achievement by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International (BWI) at the 70th annual Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail Miami, Feb. 17–21. Eleven companies took home the prestigious boating industry 2011 Innovation Award and one the Honorable Mention.
The Innovation Awards recognize products that best meet the following criteria: innovative distinction from other products currently being manufactured; benefit to the marine industry and/or consumer; practicality; cost-effectiveness; and availability to the consumer within 60 days of award receipt.

Mastercraft’s Zero Flex Tower 5P won an Innovation Award in the Water Sports and Equipment Category at the Miami International Boat Show.
