This project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the cockpit upholstery category of the 2008 MFA Awards, called for the replacement of all flybridge cushions. The purpose was to make more comfortable and more water-resistant cushions. The cushions were unique because they were constructed of reticulated (dry fast) foam with a knee rise. The bottoms of the cushions were mesh, allowing faster drying. The pillows were Sunbrella. The client was delighted with the more modern look and the comfort of the cushions and pillows, which served as backs on the narrow seats.
