Larson, Seaswirl, FinCraft and Triumph Boats are all expected to introduce new 2011 model year products in September, as opposed to the previous industry standard of introducing products during the summer.

Irwin Jacobs, who acquired the companies following the Genmar bankruptcy, had previously tried convincing recreational boating industry manufacturers to move the model year launch for new products to the fall. Jacobs said he believes the release of products in the fall will give boat dealers the opportunity to substantially lower their inventories and financial risks, while increasing profit margins.
