The Canadian Marine Manufacturers Association (CMMA) and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Canada will combine their efforts and resources to address the growing needs of the Canadian recreational marine industry. The CMMA Board of Directors approved the plan to consolidate the CMMA’s work in government relations, statistics, membership and communications with NMMA Canada, which is the Canadian shows division of NMMA and is home to the Discover Boating campaign. CMMA offices and staff will relocate from Oakville to Bolton, Ontario, at the NMMA Canada headquarters. The CMMA’s executive director position previously occupied by Sandy Currie, who has since left, has been eliminated. The consolidation efforts will take place over the next year.
