    The TMI Group acquired the assets of PVC manufacturer KoroKlear. With the acquisition of KoroKlear, TMI can expand its position as the largest manufacturer and supplier of flexible PVC in the United States. This is TMI’s third acquisition in two years.

    Marine displays manufacturer Nauticomp appointed Wickes Marine to represent the company’s products on the U.S. east coast from Maine through the Carolinas. Nauticomp’s product line includes sunlight readable displays covered by bonded glass displays. Wickes Marine has represented leading marine equipment suppliers since 1985.

    Intercoastal Inc., parent company to APEX Inflatable Boats, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Filings came after litigation between Intercoastal and Armco Mfg. Inc. Armco alleges it sent manufacturing equipment to Intercoastal’s Costa Rican plant in 2006 as part of a deal to have Intercoastal produce Armco products, but Intercoastal never delivered the agreed upon products.

    Adhesives manufacturer Adchem and grommet manufacturer Rivets Unlimited have joined forces to become one company. There has been no change in ownership. Holding company Adfast Corp. cites better service to customers as the reason for the consolidation.

    Arthur Alden “Artie” Osborne, 77, died Jan. 23 in his home surrounded by family. Osborne, a member of the Marine Fabricators Association, was a lifelong resident of Sunapee, N.H., and a U.S. Army veteran. In his life, Osborne took over Osborne’s Garage and Marine, the family business, which eventually became known as Sunapee Canvas Works. [...]
