April 15, 2012, marked the 100th anniversary of Safety Components’ mill located in Greenville, S.C. The Dunean Mill was built as an electrified site that manufactured fine, high-quality cotton goods, transitioning to a synthetic fabric mill by 1935. The Dunean Mill was one of the first to weave rayon, polyester, Nomex and Kevlar.
