This October, the Texas Coast Boat & Outdoor Show debuts on the Gulf Coast. The show will help celebrate the redevelopment and refurbishment of one of Galveston’s oldest landmarks—the Galveston Yacht Basin.

Taking place Oct. 12-14, the show will feature over 100 boats in the water, both power and sail, plus an onshore exhibition where event attendees can browse the latest in watercraft, fishing gear, waterski and wakeboarding accessories, and products and services for the boating lifestyle, along with marine accessories and outdoor equipment.

Attractions include the National Tri-Hull Powerboat Races, a “Mardi Gras” style boat parade and the chance to meet the Miss GEICO Racing team. Additionally, visitors will be able to watch powerful race boats head offshore at the start of the Treasure Chest Poker Run on Saturday morning. Live music and activities for children will take place throughout the event.

The event organizers are also working with the Galveston Historical Foundation to create fundraising opportunities to assist with the repairs aboard the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa—the official Tall Ship of Texas.
