The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) will conduct its Mid-Atlantic Regional Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Costa Marine Canvas in Egg Harbor City, N.J.
Chris Costa of Costa Marine Canvas will host the workshop at the Egg Harbor City facility, which was recently upgraded with integrated solar technologies.
Topics covered at the MFA workshop include computer-aided design (CAD), plotting and digital pattern technologies, time comparison when integrating technology into your marine shop, an open forum discussion about new and old ideas that can make projects easier, design processes, building process for custom enclosures, and more.
Darren Arthur from Nautilux Custom Canvas LLC will conduct the three-hour morning session, “New technologies for marine shops.”
The first post-lunch session, “Things I didn’t know until …,” will be presented by Carl Pellegrini of SeaCanvas.
Following a two-hour break for exhibits, refreshments and raffle prizes, Chris Costa will conduct a one-hour seminar focusing on design process, patterning, templating procedures, and building custom enclosures.
The Marine Fabricators Association is one of 16 divisions supported under the not-for-profit Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), based in the Twin Cities suburb of Roseville, Minn.
Registration is now open on MFA’s website.
