The office for Paskal USA has been closed by the corporate office in Israel; however, Jeff Correia, its former operations manager, has opened a new company called Ziptec Innovations, LLC (www.ziptecinnovations.com). If you call the number for Paskal USA you get Ziptec.

“Much has changed, but the original Paskal zippers that were part of the marine zipper line are still available in our Travelers Rest, S.C., warehouse,” Correia says.

Ziptec offers a variety of products including continuous molded and coil zippers, #10 separating molded tooth zippers, stainless steel zipper stops, and plastic, metal and stainless steel sliders, to name a few.

In 2018, Correia says Ziptec will offer a new heavy-duty #10 marine coil zipper as well as 100 percent waterproof zipper options.

“Potentially the most exciting development is the new extended-life #10 UV- and water-resistant zippers,” Correia says. “These zippers will not only be stronger, but more UV resistant than ever. They are undergoing extensive testing to ensure that the teeth and tape will outlast their competitors’.”

Ziptec Innovations will also offer a new line of molded zippers that are 100 percent YKK compatible, which means no “bananas” or curves and twists when you zip together two different kinds of zippers.

“We also plan to have no-waiting fulfillment of orders by holding stock for our customers in the USA,” Correia says. “With an ever-increasing product inventory, our engineers continue to develop and offer new products in our Travelers Rest location.”
