Roundtable discussions were popular at the
2019 MFA Conference.

Three large rooms, a 40-minute timer, fifteen tables and more than 200 people make for a high-energy, high-volume afternoon. The marine industry “speed dating” roundtables at the 2019 MFA conference in Long Beach, Calif., gave participants a chance to discuss burning issues and exchange best practices on a wide variety of topics including framing, fabric choices, staff training techniques, product line diversification, upholstery, and many others. Each table was hosted by a discussion leader who posed questions and kept the discussion moving. When 40 minutes was up, participants moved to the next table. The well-attended session was an opportunity for attendees to share their experiences, expertise and solutions to common frustrations. Many new relationships were created and the generosity of the marine community was on full display.
