President Trump announced that his administration would begin to reopen national parks as states relax COVID-19 related restrictions. The National Park Service (NPS) has closed many public lands and waters across the country to lessen the spread of the virus. Details regarding plans for reopening specific parks will be provided in the coming days following guidance from the White House, according to the Interior Department.

But not all parks and facilities are currently closed, with several outdoor spaces in some parks still accessible to the public. NPS has said it is modifying its operations on a park-by-park basis in accordance with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local public health authorities.
