The latest report on total boat registrations, part of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) 2023 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, shows there were 11.6 million registered or documented boats in 2023, down 1.9% from the previous year. Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, California and Ohio topped the list for boat registrations.
