The Rhode Island Marine Trade Association (RIMTA) has recognized three new Clean Marina Facilities for its 2022 Clean Marina program. The voluntary program is administered by the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council to recognize Rhode Island marinas, boatyards and yacht clubs that voluntarily exceed regulatory requirements and adopt measures to reduce pollution.

Designated “clean marinas” are recognized as environmentally responsible businesses. The 2022 recipients are Barrington Yacht Club, Safe Harbor Cowesett and Safe Harbor Silver Spring, which completed the Clean Marina certification process and were awarded the designation at RIMTA’s annual meeting in December 2022.
