The National Marine Manufacturers Association’s (NMMA) 2020 Recreational Boat and Marine Engine Exports & Imports report is now available as a part of the 2020 Canadian Boating Statistical Abstract. This section examines recreational boat and marine engine exports and imports from and to Canada from 2011 to 2020. Key insights from the report include:

• Recreational boat imports into Canada totaled (CAD) $675 million in 2020, down 20.1% compared to 2019, while exports of the same increased by 13.6% to $204 million in 2020.
• Marine engine imports were down 23.5% to $221 million, while exports of the same were down 10.2% to $41 million.
