Track installation for dodger gives clean look
DRH Canvas & Marine Ltd., Halifax, Nova Scotia
This project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the dodger category of the 2009 MFA Awards, included a dodger and frame for Nancy May, a classic O’Day 28. The companion way had to have a custom cover installed, then the dodger could be installed with frame and track installation. The client wanted a good seal at the deck and a strong frame with an aft handle. Designing a cover for the companion way that would look like it was factory-installed with a clear view through the windows was very important to the customer. The frame had to clear the boom when the sail was set. Track installation for the dodger gave a very clean look.
