Correct Craft solid despite layoffs

Industry News | September 1, 2009 | By:

Correct Craft’s president and CEO Bill Yeargin says that even though the company laid off about 100 workers, the boat maker isn’t going anywhere. “We’re solid financially, we’ve got orders through the second week of October,” Yeargin says. “But we start looking out over the next few months, come the first of September we’ll be out of the peak selling season, and we started thinking it’s really looking like it could be February or early March, getting deep into the boat show season, before we really see, industry-wide, a turnaround.”

Correct Craft’s dealer inventory is in good condition, and the company remains optimistic for the future.
