The Georgia Legislature is currently considering a bill, crafted with the support of the governor, that would establish mandatory boater education, mandatory life-jacket wear for children, lowers the legal blood alcohol content to .08, and prohibits those under 16 years old from operating a personal water craft without on-board adult supervision.
