City leaders in Key Biscayne, Fla., are suing the city of Miami over plans for the Miami International Boat Show. The Key Biscayne Village Council voted to sue the city over the $16 million plan to rehabilitate the area around the Miami Marine Stadium to host the show in 2016, according to the Miami Herald. Key Biscayne officials expressed concern about the traffic impact of the boat show and other events on the Rickenbacker Causeway. The village filed suit, but will enter into mediation, village attorney Stephen Helfman told the paper, in order to force a face-to-face meeting with the city. Miami officials approved the redevelopment plans in January.
