The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is “revising the rules” for the Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) program, which provides states and territories grants to provide temporary harbor for recreational boats. The new rules, which took effect in June, now allow boats to stay in one funded location for as long as 15 days. Additionally, the rules limit the costs of dredging to $200,000 per grant, as well as implementing a variety of technical and clarifying changes.
