The National ParkRx Initiative is sponsoring a series of free webinars that explore elements of successful park recreational programs. The initiative is part of the American Recreation Coalition (ARC), a nonprofit organization that conducts national conferences and disseminates information regarding recreational initiatives.
Each webinar will draw on case studies and best practices from expert medical doctors, park professionals and public health officials in the ParkRx movement.
Part I: Partnership (Sept. 22, 2016, 1:30 p.m. EST). Participants will get a general overview of the park prescriptions movement while learning about the specific needs, roles and responsibilities of both park and health professionals. Part II: Needs Assessments (Oct. 19, 2016, 1:30 p.m. EST). Participants will learn about why needs assessments are essential to successful park prescription programs.
