Since its start in 2013, the Warrior Sailing Program (WSP) has taught more than 250 former military men and women to sail. WSP coaches visit more than 40 sailing clubs around the country each year to run basic and advanced multi-day sailing camps, all at no cost to the participants. The coaches use an assortment of one-design boat classes equipped with adaptive technology to accommodate wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. The program also provides opportunities for participants to race against top sailors, train on offshore voyages and log hours towards certifications and to use as possible employment credentials.
