The MFA Pacific Northwest Regional Workshop is being held on Sept. 15 at Oyster Creek Canvas Co. in Bellingham, Wash. This one-day workshop features marine education on full enclosures, rigid windows, solar panels and tips on streamlining your shop. It also offers a variety of networking opportunities. “MFA regional workshops provide the opportunity to see how other shops operate, learn new ideas and techniques, and network with other fabricators and suppliers,” says Cat Sieh, shop manager at Oyster Creek Canvas Co. “Since becoming a part of the MFA and attending workshops, our shop has grown into a leading shop in the Pacific Northwest.”

Sieh says the networking and education opportunities through the MFA have been invaluable for the company’s growth. “Oyster Creek Canvas is a member of the MFA because it opens up a huge network of fabricators and ideas for our business, and in sharing knowledge of this craft, everyone can benefit, from fabricators to yacht owners.”
