In the recent midterm election, North Carolinians voted in favor of adding the Right to Hunt and Fish Amendment to their state constitution. The new amendment provides permanent protections for the state’s anglers, hunters, and sportsmen and women by ensuring that laws regulating hunting and fishing will be genuine conservation efforts based on sound science. North Carolina is the 22nd state to enshrine the right to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife in its constitution.
