Leading yacht firm IYC, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is expanding its presence on the West Coast with a new office in California. The company currently has 12 offices around the world in strategic yachting hubs and maintains more than 100 yachts, the largest charter fleet in the industry.

The global superyacht market is riding high on sales and charter success this year. The United States leads the pack, accounting for 47% of the total number of yachts sold in Q1 2021, and now, IYC is further strengthening its reach by opening a new California office enabling the company to seamlessly operate out of both U.S. coasts.

“The California market is consistently ranked #2 in North American sales, followed by Newport, says IYC partner Matthew Stone. “Both are small numbers compared to Florida, but with the population of ultra-high net worth individuals that reside there, opening a California office has been on our radar for a while.”

Stone will be overseeing the new California office, which will build upon the existing IYC infrastructure to offer its full range of services.
