The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) had 80 fabricators and suppliers come together for the MFA Southeast Regional Workshop, September 16-17, 2022, at Canvas Designers, Inc. in Riviera Beach, Fla.

The next regional event is the MFA Southwest Regional Workshop, November 11-12, 2022, at SewLong-Custom Covers LLC and SugarHouse Industries in Salt Lake City, Utah. To register, click here.

The MFA is looking for volunteers in a variety of areas such as joining a committee, becoming an event speaker, or volunteering to help new members feel welcome. The association is also looking for shops of any size willing to share their shop layouts. Participants will record a video shop tour of approximately 10 minutes that will be shared online or during events. There is the potential to do a live question and answer in conjunction with the video as well.

The MFA is also looking for shops to host regional workshops. Generally, these events are one and half to two days long and could be held in two nearby shops if appropriate. Hosts often provide some or all of the education during the event, but there are no hard rules on that. Participating shops do need to have a large enough space for 30-plus attendees, but using a covered outdoor space is an option as well. Contact Barbara Connett for more information.
