The Sea Tow Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting boating safety, has opened its Life Jacket Loaner Program Grant Application for the 2024 season. Administered through the U.S. Coast Guard’s Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, this grant program enables the Sea Tow Foundation to collaborate with communities nationwide, extending the reach of the Life Jacket Loaner Program throughout the 2024 boating season. Applications will be accepted through February 1, 2024.

The Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program is the world’s largest program of its kind, with more than 1,300 stands located across all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., American Samoa and the Virgin Islands. Established to prevent drowning, each of the loaner stations can be stocked with life jackets ranging in size from infant to adult extra-large that boaters can borrow and return free of charge.

Since the program’s inception in 2008, the Sea Tow Foundation has distributed over 100,000 life jackets to local businesses and organizations, helping keep families stay safe while enjoying water-based activities. For more information or to apply for the grant, click here.
