The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) held its annual meeting Saturday, Jan. 11 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The association discussed current membership status and benefits, committees, 2024 highlights and more.

MFA membership has increased 36.3 percent from fiscal year 2018 to fiscal year 2024. These members have access to benefits such as the Textile Career Center, Time Standards Manual, various business processing services and employment benefits, member events and more.

The MFA’s mission is to:

  • Identify issues of common concern in the marine fabrication industry and take a proactive role in seeking solutions for those concerns;
  • Raise general awareness and use of marine textile products; and
  • Provide a central resource for division members for the dissemination of information relating to the techniques, materials, standards, statistics, markets, business and tax information in the marine fabrication industry.

Association committees in 2025 will focus on goals such as membership, conference programming, regional workshop programming, certification modernization and social media/marketing.
