Enclosure holds in heat and keeps wind out
Mike’s Marine Custom Canvas, Virginia Beach, Va.
The client for this project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the miscellaneous category of the 2009 MFA Awards, wanted a new outdoor room to use for sports parties. He asked us for a porch enclosure to hold in the heat and keep out the wind. The curtains are fairly large and had to fit an angled overhead beam on the left, pass around pillars and over a railing, then travel 15 feet and pass around another set of pillars before returning to the right wall. There were multiple complex measurements and flaps to fill the cutouts around all those obstructions in order to seal out the cold.
