The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking applications from Minnesota residents to serve on the Aquatic Invasive Species Advisory Committee, a 15-member committee established in 2013 by the Minnesota DNR to help guide the agency’s aquatic invasive species prevention and management activities. There are currently three appointments available for new members to serve a three-year term.

The committee focuses on program direction, emerging research needs, communications and funding strategies. The DNR is looking for a diverse and well-rounded committee, reflecting a wide variety of stakeholders. The committee holds eight meetings throughout the year and is currently meeting online due to COVID-19. The expected monthly time commitment for advisory committee members is 6 -16 hours a month. Applications are due by Jan. 22, 2021. Additional information about the committee and the application process can be found here.
