Full enclosure adds contemporary look and extends boating season
Seafarer Canvas, Norwalk, Conn.
This project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the full exterior powerboats under 27 feet category of the 2009 MFA Awards, is a full enclosure on a 25-foot Chris Craft. The purpose of this project was to give the client a more contemporary look. While updating the look was a goal, the main purpose of the project was to extend the client’s boating season. This was accomplished by adding a camper back where there had previously been an aft curtain. The only complex part of the project dealt with creating an entirely new framework. The two 7/8-inch stainless steel frameworks had to be lined up perfectly in order to create a fully seamless enclosure.
