The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) annual Tools, Tips and Tricks contest is now open for submissions. Submissions can include anything fabricators do to save time, money or perform a job in a unique way. Even the simplest solutions are a great help to other shops. Submission ideas include using a tool or piece of equipment for something completely outside of what the packaging says, building a bespoke tool or sharing a trick that gets the job done better. Ideas can be submitted in text with photos or a short video (under a minute).

All submissions will be reviewed and voted on live during the annual MFA Conference with the top three winners receiving a prize from an exhibitor. Winners do not need to be present to win. The prizes vary each year, but in the past have included rolls of fabric, tools, hardware and other products. The first-place winner also receives a full registration to the next year’s conference and the prestigious Don Racine Award.
