MFA Advisory Board Director recommendation announced

The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) Board met recently to review nominations for this year’s MFA Advisory Board election and recommended that Michael Charpentier, Paul’s Custom Canvas Inc., serve a second three-year term as Director of the MFA Advisory Board. The MFA Board reviewed potential candidates and recommended Charpentier based on a desire to provide a spectrum of representation on the advisory board including size of company and experience with association or industry issues.

The MFA Operating Guidelines do allow for additional candidates (independent nominations) to be considered by the membership for a Director position. Independent nominations must be submitted in writing and received at Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) headquarters in Roseville by Friday, September 13, 2024. The letter must be accompanied by a petition/letter of support signed by at least fifty (50) MFA members in good standing from the general (voting) member category.

If no other nominations are received by that date, Charpentier’s nomination will move forward. If, however, independent candidates are proposed and meet the qualifications, an electronic ballot will then be sent out to all voting members for consideration.
